Mission Statement

The Professional Development Institute and the Department of Continuing Education serve as the Community Outreach component for the School of Professional Studies. The mission of Community Outreach is to contribute significantly to the quality of life in the community, region and state through educational, cultural, service and career-enhancing programs. The Professional Development Institute offers individualized, hands-on training and provides an opportunity for individuals to learn a new skill, stay current in their field, or fulfill professional requirements for continuing certification. The Department of Continuing Education offers special interest and leisure learning classes to multiple constituencies at an affordable cost.
